Full Description

The site of the former Edinbane corn mill. It is shown and labelled with a presumably associated building immediately to its northeast on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps on the site of what is now the Edinbane Community Hall. The rear of the hall either sits exactly on the site or the mill building itself was retained and converted. A mill lade is also shown running from the Abhainn Choishleadder northwards to the southwest corner of the mill. A small stone-built structure to the immediate east of the entrance to the current community Hall may be a surviving portion of the original associated building although it would appear to have been adapted to serve as kennels at some point. <1> <2>
