Full Description
A walkover survey was carried out by Cannich Archaeological Services in 1999 of parts of the RSPB reserve at Corrimony prior to tree-planting.
Section 6, Site 22: Stone setting / wall. Situated on the eastern side of Loch Comhnard, about 10 m east of the bank of the loch. A line of stones 15m long runs in a shallow arc SE - NW downhill towards the loch. About 10 m from the upper end another line of stones 2 m long goes off to the SW. The stones are mainly set singly; some are very large. The vegetation cover is grass, with heather round about. This does not seem to be an ancient feature; many of the stones do not seem to be deeply embedded in the ground. But the line of stones seems too long to be fortuitous. <1>
