Full Description

A walkover survey was carried out by Cannich Archaeological Services in 1999 of parts of the RSPB reserve at Corrimony prior to tree-planting.

Section 6, Site 22: Possible stone feature. Situated on the hillside high above and west of the south end of Loch Comhnard, this feature is just within the eastern edge of a vast expanse of bracken, which largely obscures it, so that the nature of the site is not at all clear. A line of stones 5 m long is visible running in an arc NE - SW, with a big boulder at its SW end. About 8 m away to the NE are two large stones, one of which appears to be set upright, while 5 m further to the east a line of stones 5 m long runs along a heather-covered hollow. This feature may be entirely natural, but only inspection when the bracken cover is down could make certain of this. <1>

Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on grid coordinates. (TB 30/4/25)
