Full Description
A walkover survey was carried out by Cannich Archaeological Services in 1999 of parts of the RSPB reserve at Corrimony prior to tree-planting.
Site 6: Wall. Runs down eastward-facing slope in area between the road and the River Enrick. The old fence, roughly on the boundary between sections 5 and 6, is built on the line of this wall for part of its length. The grid references given are the last points at which the wall is clearly visible; it probably continues about another 20 m downhill (ESE) but is very badly eroded, and it may continue a further 20 m uphill (WNW) although it completely disappears at the top of the slope. Built of stone, standing to one course in height, and up to 1 m wide. Covered by bracken and grass. <1>
Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on Ordnance Survey Mastermap. <2> (TB 28/4/25)
