Full Description
Site of the former corn mill at Advie. It is not shown on the Roy Military Survey so may be of late C18 to early C19 origin. The OS 1st Edition map shows two buildings, the smaller, orientated east-west, was probably the mill as a lade appears to run adjacent to its western end and a long narrow building to its immediate southeast oriented notheast-southwest was probably a store. A possible third building lies on the western side of the lade. <1>
Two roofed buildings are visible in the above locations on vertical aerial photographs, with the mill building looking to be the most intact, through the area is now very overgrown. <2> <3>
