Full Description
Remains of a small pre-clearance settlement with nearby and probably associated cultivated fields to the southwest of Lundavra Farm. It was reported by D Jarman and J Meek in 2025. <1>
The unnamed settlement is shown on the OS 2nd edition and modern OS mapping and vertical aerial photographs taken between 2006 ('Millennium Map' series) and 2022, but is not shown on the OS 1st edition map. It consists of six stone-built buildings with several smaller structures and a smal square enclosure at its southern end. It is enclosed by a dyke and is located on the eastern bank of an upper unnamed tributary of the Abhainn Righ. Formerly cultivated fields lie to the south, west, northeast and north on the other side of the unnamed burn and another unnamed burn. Fields bounded by dykes continue northeastwards towards Lundavra. <2> <3> <4>
