Full Description
A desk-based assessment and rapid walkover survey was conducted in connection with a proposed native pinewood scheme at Auchterteang by J. Wordsworth in 1996.
Site 5: A rectangular enclosure 20m by 14m and aligned east/west lies in this position. It was not shown on the earlier OS maps though a roofed building was shown here in 1871 and 1902. It was not seen during the present survey, either being obscured by the enclosure or more probably being obscured by long heather to the south of the enclosure.<1>
