Full Description
A C19 building at Galmisdale, Eigg, one of three near the current Galmisdale farmhouse recorded by RCAHMS in 2002. See MHG64059 and MHG64061 for the other two.
Three ruinous structures stand to the E and S of the Galmisdale farmhouse. Some 70m to the NE of the first (see MHG64059), and 40 ENE of the farmhouse, a second building (483) measures 5.5m from NNW to SSE by 3.1m internally within faced rubble walls 0.9m in thickness and 0.5m in height. There is an entrance in the NNE side. Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH) 11 October 2002
The feature is visible in vertical aerial photography taken in 2020. <1>
