Full Description
This site was visited by R. Spencer-Jones and S. North of NoSAS in March 2025.
Possible site of shieling; In an upland meadow, to the west of the Neaty Burn, a 1757 map records "A small grazing has no name" associated with two buildings. No building remains can now be seen at this site. However, at the southeast edge of the meadow, is a prominent platform with a flat surface, that appears artificial. This could have been the site of the recorded buildings. <1>
