Full Description

Historic Assynt surveyed this site in April 2016.

A small two compartment fank centred on what might have been a pre-existing bothy. The bothy has poor quality double faced dry stone with no mortar and is 7.6m x 3.4m aligned east-west with no internal features but a fragment of iron bedstead is lying on the wall head. To the south an arcing wall creates an outer space 3.4m wide at best. Another less substantial wall to the east of the house funnels in towards a gap in outer space walling. Another set of features associated with sheep farming. <1>

NGR adjusted based on 2009 vertical aerial photographs. <2>
