Full Description
Remains of possible buildings on the east side of the A87 and west of the River Leasgeary to the northwest of Portree, Skye. The sites are visible on vertical aerial photographs taken between 2005 (as part of the 'Millennium Map' series) and 2023. The site consists of a linear group of possbly 4 or 5 buildings, though there may be more. They range in size from c.7m to 8m in length and appear as oval mounds of rough grass within coarser vegetation. They are not shown on any historic OS mapping, nor is a placename indicated. If they are buildings they may be associated with the settlement to the southeast (see MHG64006). <1> <2> <3> <4>
