Full Description
A length of turf dyke at Loch na Garbh Uidhe, Assynt.
The dyke was recorded by C Dagg in 2002 during a survey undertaken in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. Site 3: Turf dyke from NC 1643 2492 to NC 1656 2505: This dyke begins on the same rock face approximately 20m east of the end of the previous dyke (see MHG63960), drops down the hill and runs sinuously across the low ground. It could not be traced further to the northeast. <1>
The dyke can be seen on vertical aerial photographs taken in 2004 (included within the 'Millennium Map series'). <2>
