Full Description
A walkover survey at Loch Achility was undertaken by R. Spencer-Jones and S. North of NoSAS in February 2025.
In the southeast corner of Loch Achilty, just north of the entrance to an indentation of the loch (possible harbour) there are several lines of stones going east-west from the shore into the body of the loch. These appear to be landing sites for small boats at this end of the loch. When this site was revisited in February 2025 these lines of stones had mostly disappeared, probably related to the recent dredging of the entrance to the indentation. (see MHG63955 for harbour) <1>
Nausts clearly visible on the shoreline on 2021 Aps. (TB 19/2/25)
