Full Description

A walkover survey was undertaken by R. Spencer-Jones and S. North of NoSAS in January 2025

Still 1: In a slight gully, on the east side of the unnamed burn flowing down to Mid Mains farm, lies the ruins of a building, almost certainly an illicit still measuring 6 x 3m. Orientated north-south, the north and south walls of the building stand to 0.8m high. Coursework can be clearly seen in the west end of the south wall. The west wall facing the burn is deficient and the east side of the building is the bank. <1>
