Full Description
A shieling settlement at Achadh Ire on the south side of Loch Luichart. The existence of shielings is suggested by the placename but shieling huts, possible small enclosures, dykes, rig and furrow and patches of green grass suggestive of agriculture and/or animal husbandry are visible in vertical aerial photographs, the clearest being those taken in 2013. Many of the features are also visible in 2012 SEP LiDAR data. <1> <2>
