Remains of a farmstead at Clashfelister, Latheron. In the OS Name Book entry it is listed as 'A small farm-steading in Houstry, the property of Mrs B. Thomson Sinclair', with a pencilled-in alternative spelling of 'Claish felister'. <1> <2>
The '…ister' suffix in tbe placename may imply a Norse origin for the farmstead.
