Full Description
A hut circle in woodland near Loch Achilty, one of two (see MHG63820 for the other) within a probably associated field system (see MHG63821). It is visible in SEPA LiDAR data and measures c.18m in diameter. It may have an entrance in the east. <1>
A walkover survey at Loch Achility was undertaken by R. Spencer-Jones and S. North of NoSAS in January 2025.
Site HC03: In mature grazed parkland, sloping to the north, lies this large circular structure with 1.5m entrance in east. The walls up to 0.8m high consisted of turf or vegetation on a base of stone. Being so large, it is uncertain whether this is a hut circle or an enclosure. <2>
