Full Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were undertaken by Clyde Archaeology in 2023 in relation to a proposed underground cable south of Mybster, Caithness.
Site 8: A rectangular building and enclosure lie to the south of the road on the OS 6 inch to the mile map surveyed in 1871. The building survives as turf covered stone
foundations 1m wide and up to 0.5 high defining a building approximately 9m by 5m in size. A possible small extension was also visible off the south-western end but the banks defining it ere much more ephemeral than the main structure. There was no clear sign of an entrance. <1>
