Full Description
A shieling hut at Erchless Burn, Erchless, Strath Glass.
Included in field survey by R Spencer-Jones in 2022 (Erchless Burn 12). Structure 4, probable shieling building. <1>
This building measuring 6.1 x 4 metres is now completely overlaid by heather on the top of a small knoll. There is no obvious stone in its construction, although there are wall, probably of turf, up to 0.6m high. The depression in the middle is the most convincing feature. <2>
