Remains of six shieling huts at Coire Mheadhoin, Strathfarrar
Included in field survey by R Spencer-Jones in 2022 (Coire Mheadhoin 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21). Shieling Buildings or Shieling Platforms. <1>
Site S16: Roughly circular measuring 3m diameter with stones in perimeter and upright slab in east. NH 38222 43208 (NH38212 43217 - 2023 APs)
Site S17: Sub-rectangular measuring 3 x 2m with a very high platform and orientated east-west. NH 38256 43212 (NH38247 43224 - 2023 APs)
Site S18: Big broad platform measuring 4 x 3m and orientated east-west. NH 38251 43199 (NH 38240 43209 - 2023 APs)
Site S19: On a platform measuring 3 x 2m and orientated east-west with stone in middle. NH 38264 43201 (NH38254 43209 - 2023 APs)
Site S20: Indistinct shieling walls on a broad platform measuring 4 x 3m. Aligned c S21, 5m distant and orientated east-west. NH 38274 43179 (NH38265 43190 - 2023 APs)
Site S21: Indistinct shieling walls, on a definite platform measuring 4 x 3m. Aligned c S20, 5m distant and orientated east-west. NH 38282 43180 (NH38274 43192 - 2023 APs) <2>
