Full Description
Between May and August 2012, a survey was undertaken by the North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NoSAS) to identify, survey, and record the archaeological remains at Achadh Mor, Loch Garve.
Site 19; Hut circle. At an altitude of 142m and on a slight knoll, this hut circle has an internal diameter of 10m. The turf banks are c2m thick and 0.5m high but are very wasted in the SW arc where they are defined only by a change of slope. There is no evidence of an entrance. Associated with this hut circle is a field system (site 26) of 4 cairns. <1>
Although under trees the site is visible in SEPA LiDAR data. <2>
