Full Description

Within an enclosure approx 44m square situated on the top of one of the large glacial mounds that made up the Ledbeg cornlands there are two structures in the NW corner and one outside the enclosure to the south.
In the NW corner of the enclosure and aligned E - W, a two compartment foundation with semi-circular ends and faint signs of a possible internal partition dividing the building into two equally sized compartments. Overall it is 9.1m long and 2.5m wide internally and appears to be a byrehouse with the byre downslope to the east with signs of a central drain.
Almost at right angles to the west a similar shaped foundation aligned NNE - SSW with semi circular ends 6.5m by 3.4m internally. At it's southern end a possible small pen.
South of the enclosure there is a foundation aligned NNW - SSE with semi-circular ends and bowed sides, 9.6m long internally, it's width varying from 2.6m to 3.4m. Twoards the s centre.
The walls of all three structures appear to be approx 0.8m -1.00m wide but with no clear indication of doorways.
Homes Survey map of Ledbeg farm shiows several clusters of of building to the west of the main farm and these may be the remains of the westernmost cluster<1>
