NG25SE 8.12 275 530.

There are two groups of shieling-huts to the E of the Bay River on either side of the public road to Waternish, 1.3km to the S of Bay.
That to the W of the road (NG 274 530), extending over some 70m from N to S, is situated in gently sloping ground; it comprises an oval building or enclosure and a subrectangular hut. That to the E (NG 275 530) is spread over a distance of some 70m along a rocky terrace and includes two subrectangular stone-built huts and a mound. What may be a third stone hut is built into the SE of the large mound to the N (NG25SE 8.11).
Of the group to the W, proceeding from S to N, the building measures 7.8m from E to W by 2.6m transversely within stony banks spread to 1.8m in thickness and 0.4m in height (WAT90 1215); the hut is a subrectangular structure, which measures 4.2m from WNW to ESE by 2.2m transversely within grass-covered banks spread to 1.2m in thickness and 0.4m in height (WAT90 1217)
The group to the E comprises, two stone-built huts which are subrectangular with entrances in their N sides. The southernmost and larger of the two huts is 2.4m in length by 1.6m in breadth within stony banks spread to 1.2m in thickness and 0.3m in height (WAT90 1218) and the smaller or northernmost is 1.8m in length by 1.5m in breadth (WAT90 1220) within rubble-faced walls 1m in thickness and 0.5m in height. The mound, lying in between the two huts is 3.5m in diameter (WAT90 1219) (WAT90 1215-1220)
