Full Description
Similar to 03 but smaller, this structure is square 2m x 2m internally. Walls of turf have a height of 0.2m and spread of 1-1.5m. To the south of these 2 structures there is a curving earth bank which may be associated. It is 10m in length 0.3m in height and has a spread of 1.5m. <1>
During a walkover survey by West Coast ArchaeologIcal Services in August 2010 it was noted that this site was previously recorded during the NOSAS survey in 2009 in association with a second turf structure to the southwest (see MHG53507 - Site 18). There were other faintly visible turf mound alignments around Site 18, but they did not appear to take any real structural form. <2> <3>
