Full Description

(NG 513 604) Water Mill at Lealt shown on W Johnson's Map of Skye. Information from W Johnson's Map of Skye, 1824.
Not found
Visited by OS (A C) 29 April 1961.
W Johnson's map of Skye does not show watermills at any other locations. The label 'Mill' is beside a single small black rectangle which is Johnson's symbol for a settlement. It therefore follows that 'Mill' was the name of a settlement subsequently absorbed into Lealt, which is shown slightly further west along the river [IS-L 26/08/2020].
