NG 370 437 Situated on the north bank of the River Vie Askill, below a sharp bend, at 400 feet above sea-level, is a group of 11 or more
ruined shielings (Visible on RAF air photographs CPE/Scot/UK/175: 2090-1).
They are of the single and twin-cell types now reduced to low turf-covered mounds.
Visited by OS (A S P) 17 May 1961.
