A cairn lying on a limestone prominence above 100 ft contour and E of a track. It is a stony mound 9m by 6m with a hollow 1.5m by 2.5m open to the N and S. The corners of the hollow are marked by four uprights. T C Welsh 1972.

At NC 3931 6736, in a shallow fold between limestone ridges, are the remains of a structure of indeterminate age and purpose. It comprises a setting of seven earth-fast, upright slabs, 0.6m maximum height, which line the sides of a hollow running N-S. On either side of the hollow are piles of rubble stones incorporating a boss of living limestone. An early modern, turf-covered field wall skirts the E side of the structure, and lazy beds occur to the S.
The remains do not justify the classification of chambered cairn; there is no evidence of a passage or transverse slabs and the stones lack the bulk of the orthostats normally found in the chambers of cairns. There is no identifiable pattern of a cairn in the piles of rubble which, as stated, contain living rock.
