Full Description
Centred on NC 669 467 are the turf and stone footings of sixteen shielings and vague traces of others; dimensions range from 4.0 by 3.0m to 6.0m by 3.0m. Three of the footings occupy or intrude into a turf- covered knoll at NC 6695 4670. It shows peripheral stone and measures about 12.0m diameter, and may be a man-made structure pre-dating the shielings, possibly a cairn.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.
