NH53SE 23 5988 3033
This burnt mound is situated on a gentle slope to the N of a spring and at the edge of an improved field. It comprises two parallel, oval mounds, which may join around on the NE, measuring 8.4m from NW to SE by 7.4m transversely and 0.9m in height, possibly opening to the SW. Lifting a sod revealed cracked stone set in a matrix of black soil. (USN93 206)
