Full Description

Small post medieval strip settlement a little outside the gates of Carbisdale, although likely that has been buildings built to reflect estate status. All lie on flat land above the river. From W a primary School, a clump of other buildings (some relatively modern) a pair of decorative cottages (derelict) Mains Farm (listed) and farm buildings. A topsoil stripped area and then the modern hall. A railway station lies on the other side of the road to Carbisdale. Other buildings lie on the higher slopes where locationally possible - HAW 04/2005.
