Full Description
Miltary buildings used to lie in Rosemarkie close to the Hawkhill Hotel (part retained as its laundry room) on both sides of Hawkhill Rd. The area to the E of the High St, now survives as open land owned by No8 . Originally the access road to the S side of the cemetery ran across this area. - HAW 03/2003
Remaining WW1 military building reused as staff accomodation (for Hawkhill Hotel) and latterly as laundry demolished as part of renovation of Marine House nursing home into private apartments in 2018. Replaced by storage building in the same footprint with individual stores for all eleven Marine House apartments. <1>
