A mill lade is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Cromartyshire & Nairnshire 1881, sheet lxxxviii). It runs to Millnain corn & barley mill to the northeast and is aligned roughly parallel to the River Peffery.
