Full Description

A 'burial ground' has been reported as having formerly lain within the rough ground between Heather Cottage and Dalfaber Farmhouse. The site is said to have been buried by a dump of soil and cannot now be seen on the ground. Information from Eric Sharkey. (KC 11/2004)

This area has been reported by at least two people (via Ann Wakeling) as being the former location of a stone circle, the remains of which are now buried beneath heaps of spoil and broom and scrub vegetation. (KC 04/2005)

Correspondence from a former occupant of Dalfaber Farm indicates that the 'stone circle' lay more or less immediately to the north of the western end of the track between Heather Cottage and Dalfaber farmhouse. <1>
