An extensive archaeological survey, conducted as part of an environmental assessment in advance of a woodland regeneration initiative, found this structure to be reduced to foundations and dumps of demolition debris. The building is depicted as roofed on the OS 1:10 000 (1975) map, and therefore may have been demolished since the survey work for the map. It is not, however, shown on any other Ordnance Survey maps, and would appear to be of relatively recent date.
