NC 5802 0315 This burnt mound was investigated in 1990 as part of the excavations relating to the improvement of the A836 road. It was kidney-shaped, 6m in diameter, with a central pit. However there is no demonstrable relationship between the central pit and the mound of burnt material; the trough (or hearth) associated with the burnt mound was not located.
