An oval, or horseshoe-shaped, structure, situated on a shelf above the N-facing slope overlooking Loch Linnhe, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at Camusnagaul and Achaphubuil. Symmetrical about its long axis, the structure is oval on plan although the NE end is truncated giving it a horseshoe-shaped appearance. The structure measures 8.5m by 6.5m overall and comprises a level area, measuring 5m by 3.5m, enclosed by a narrow but well-defined gully, roughly 0.4m wide and 0.1m deep except on the NE where it becomes broader and ill-defined, within a bank spread up to 1.5m in width and standing up to 0.3m in height. The structure is open on the NE apart from a low and poorly-defined stretch of straight bank, whilst the SW end appears lower and narrower.
