A small oil tank farm is situated on the NW edge of the grass runways and is visible on a post-war RAF vertical air photograph (106G/Scot/UK 169, 5001, flown 26 August 1946. Six (6) semi-underground blocks are visible and are also depicted on the OS 1:10000 scale map (1992).
