This pier, on the E side of Dochfour Embankment (NH63NW 29.04), near its S end, and opposite the bridge (NH63NW 29.05) from the W shore is clearly marked on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1905, sheet xix), on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975) and on the OS Basic Scale raster map (ND).
