One shieling-hut, an enclosure and three dykes, situated to the W of the Oldany River, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey of Drumbeg Common Grazings. The shieling-hut measures 3.7m from N to S by 3.2m within a collapsed wall spread up to 0.8m in width and standing up to 1.1m in height. The entrance is in the N. A second room, measuring 3.2m by 1.8m internally, abuts on the S.
On plan, the layout of this structure is very similar to the shieling-hut (NC13SW 28) some 400m to the SE. The shieling-hut lies within a large rounded enclosure, measuring 180m by 130m, defined by a stone dyke, spread up to 2m in width and standing up to 0.8m in height. This enclosure is depicted on Home's Plan of the farm of Oldany (1774).
