A possible charcoal burning platform, situated on the N-facing slope of a spur on the N side of Tom nan Eildean, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey of the NE part of the Drimnin estate. Situated on the SW of an area of cultivation (NM65NW 32; NMRS MS 1012/1, no.114), the platform measures 10m from NW to SE by 9m. It is levelled into the slope on the SW to a depth of 0.7m. The NE side has been built out although it is not revetted.
