The outbuildings to Druimbuidhe House, which is still occupied, were noted during a pre-afforestation survey of the NW part of the Drimnin estate. The buildings comprise a winnowing barn and a L-shaped byre and dairy.
The winnowing barn is rectangular in plan with externally rounded corners. It measures 9.4m by 5.2m with 0.8m thick drystone walls standing up to 1.7m in height. There is a 1m wide entrance, in the S wall, situated about 3.4m (internally) from the W end. There is a second opening, now blocked, directly opposite. Four blocked cruck-slots are also discernible in the fabric of the building. The cruck-slots in the N wall are complete; and are situated 0.55m and 2.65m from the E end of the building. They commence 0.8m and 1.05m from the floor. The S wall, however, has been re-built as only one side of each slot is visible. They are situated 0.75m and 2.5m from the E end.
The L-shaped byre and dairy appears to have been built as a single unit, although the S wing may have earlier origins. The S wing, which is interpreted as a dairy, is rectangular with rounded corners and measures 13.6m by 4.7m. It has been built out from the slope and stands up to 2.5m in height at the W end, where it rises from a boulder plinth. There are entrances in both the N and S walls though the latter is interpreted as a calf creep. Within, there is a single partition. The floor is cobbled, with a drain lying parallel to and 5m from the W end. A line of edge-set stones, to the W of the drain, marks a division between the E and W parts of the compartment.
The E wing, is interpreted as a byre. It measures 19.3m by 4.65m with 0.6m thick walls standing to 1.8m in height. There are two entrances, both flanked on their outer face by large flat slabs, in the W wall opening onto the courtyard. Within there is a single partition 4.1m from the N end. A drainage channel runs the length of the cobbled floor, with side channels issuing through the doors.
A large trapezoidal enclosure, measuring 230m from NW to SE by 175m from NE to SW, narrowing to 105m at the NW end, surrounds the house and garden. The well-built wall is between three and four courses high and is surmounted by the remains of wire fence and wooden fence posts.
