Allt a Bhruic
A trapezoidal stone built shieling-hut aligned E to W. One of a group of four shieling huts situated on the S-facing slopes along the stream Allt a Bhruic, recorded during survey by Headland Archaeology Ltd during 1998. The group (Survey site 11) centres on 8328 1758 and including sites NG81NW 21 and NG81NW 22.
Hut 11d is situated some 40m up slope from 11b (NG81NW 21). It is 5m long and 1.7m wide at the E end increasing to 2.2m at the W end. The walls are 0.7m wide and up to 0.8m high. The entrance is situated in the middle of the N wall. The structure is obscured by high bracken.
