A small scale excavation was undertaken at a cairnfield surveyed in 1988 where apparent structural evidence had been found in small soil pits. Ten trenches were excavated. Buried soils were recovered fom beneath two cairns; there were ardmarks sealed by peat. No structures were revealed.
