The faint cropmarks of a possible settlement have been revealed by oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1995), in the NE corner of a field immediately to the SE of Allangrange Mains. It is possibly sub-circular in shape, with a diameter of at least 100m. Various cropmarks in the SW corner of the settlement may represent internal structures. A cluster of indeterminate cropmarks are visible about 20m to the N in the N corner of the field.
