A township comprising eight unroofed buildings, including a church (NM46SE 3), thirty-six roofed buildings, which include a church, a school, a manse (NM46SE 12) and a corn mill (NM46SE 13), several enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xxiv). Three unroofed, four partially roofed, twenty-six roofed buildings and several enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
