A township comprising seventeen unroofed, one partially roofed, one hundred and eighteen roofed buildings, two of which are L-shaped, several enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xxviii). Within the head-dyke there are several areas of parallel walls which may be attempts to create individual plots.
Thirty-six unroofed, one partially roofed, thirty-six roofed buildings, several enclosures and the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1990).
