A shieling-hut or bothy, situated on the W bank of a burn draining N into Loch Neaty, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey of Eskadale Moor. The turf-built hut measures c.9m from ENE to WSW by c.6m over a bank spread up to c.1.8m in width and standing up to 0.3m in height.
