Full Description
'Just off the road by a wooden gate is a mound in trees which is a burial. The other mounds should be examined too.'
Information from Major C J Shaw to OS 5 Feburary 1962.
NH 6809 3550 is the location of the mound in trees;there is evidence of old quarrying but none of a burial.
Visited by OS (W D J) 5 August 1963.
