This hut-circle is situated within a field-system of orthostatic walls, which encloses the ground below a rocky crag on the W side of the burn named Allt Bhre-sgorr. The walls appear to be overlain by two pens and one hut. The hut-circle, which has been obscured by the construction of a later rectangular building across its interior, measures 7.4m in diameter within a low grass-grown stony bank, which is partly covered by peat. The overlying building measures internally 3.3m from ENE to WSW by 2.8m, but is now reduced to its boulder footings. Apparently overlying the walls of the field-system, there are two pens and a hut; all are subrectangular on plan with walls defined by rows of single boulders, robbed from the adjacent field-walls. The field-system takes in the ground on both sides of the gully, the walls dropping down from the flanking crags to form rough fields, but it is probably also linked into the systems of walls recorded to the SE and W (NG20SW 4 and NG20SW 16 respectively).
(Canna 501, 508-11).
