A group of five huts and two mounds are strung out along the base of a rocky crag on the W side of an unnamed burn to the W of the sea-cliffs at Sgorr nam Ban-naomha. The huts are all small and vary in shape, the largest being subrectangular and measuring 2.5m by 1.6m within a boulder wall up to 0.8m in thickness. All the huts appear to be set into low grass-grown mounds, however, this may be no more than the result of the collapse and weathering of turf walls. One hut is incorporated into the NNW side of the larger of the two mounds, and there are traces of another possible robbed structure or chamber on the S. This mound measures 8.4m from N to S by 7.4m transversely and 0.3m in height. The second mound (NG 2280 0448) also contains earthfast stones, some of which lie on the periphery and may be part of a structure.
(Canna 321, 478, 481-5).
Visited by RCAHMS (IMS, ARG), 1 July 1994.
